Chronos is a time-keeping module, with two distinct but related functions. The first is tap tempo: tap the push button to generate regular triggers at any tempo. The second function is tempo-synced low frequency oscillator, with four different waveforms.
- The rate tapped in with the button can be manually adjusted with the potentiometer
- The fastest tempo which ca be tapped is 78Hz (=293BPM). The slowest rate is 59.65 hours (!).
- The LFO's tempo will be synched directly to the clock produced by the tap-tempo section, but you can synchronize the LFO to an external clock if desired. If the sync signal stops, the LFO will keep on running at the last tempo.
- The Mode switch has three positions. Up position selects sine from the bipolar and rising ramp from the unipolar output. Middle position turns the tap tempo and waveform output off. Down position selects triangle and falling ramp
